Helping to end ALS

Sam and his initiative, Dick's Devotees, have raised more than $45,000 for research to help find a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). In 2007, Sam lost his dad, Dick Halpern, to ALS when he was only seven years old. He has been profiled by Atlanta INtown's 20 Under 20 and supports the ALS Therapy Development Institute, a non-profit biotech dedicated to ALS research.
